Fely Jhae E
About Me
Hello! My name is Fely Jhae D. Ebanculla. I graduated from the University of California, Merced in May 2022 with a major in Human Biology. During my time at UCM, I have participated in the STEP Program (similar to AVID in high school), Homebound Dance Team (for state-wide competitions), and the Pilipino-American Alliance (PAA- cultural organization). I worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) at a local elementary school during my gap year and worked closely with students with behaviors or physical disabilities to aide their experience in a gen-ed classroom. I am currently enrolled in a Podiatric medicine school aspiring to become a podiatric surgical doctor. Despite my full-time commitment in studies, I would love to share and spark inspiration to the next generational youth as they progress in their academics and careers at my leisure.
Tutoring is a great outlet which not only helps those who seek support but also assists myself in enhancing my knowledge and strengthening my academic foundation. I like to dance and play games during my free time to express creativity and be involved with the virtual community. I like watching k-dramas/anime and eating spicy food! Let’s have a fun and productive tutoring session sometime!!

- Served as a mentor to two mentees at UC Merced providing Networking, Professional Development, Center for Career and Professional Advancement (CCPA) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Pilipinx-Americans in Sciences and Engineering (PASE)
- Served as a Scribe for the revival of this organization at UC Merced. Assisted with paper works and the re-establishment with a new admin board.
- Math Teacher’s Assistant in high school for Algebra 2 and Trigonometry.
- My Private Professor (MPP) Tutor since March 2022 and on-going.
Philanthropy / Volunteering Experience
- UNICEF volunteer member: fed the homeless over winter break; served as a course monitor for The Giants Race; pledged to bring awareness to water contamination.
- Summer clinical volunteer to administer, monitor, and manage individuals getting their COVID vaccinations.
- Revived a professional advancement organization at UC Merced with peers to provide STEM opportunities to students.
- Participation in the STEP Program for first-generation students and of individuals with low-income for support and social/professional networking events.
- Shadowing podiatrists for insight into the life of a podiatric surgeon, observed patient interactions and care.
FamilythatPrays –
This was my sons first tutoring session and was nervous. Fely was so helpful and explained things well. My son left this session feeling great and confident in what he learned. I look forward to more sessions with Fely.
