Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund

American Rescue Plan ESSER Funding

The American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund was enacted in March 2021.

The ARP ESSER provides around $122 billion in funding to states & their school districts to combat the impact of COVID-19 on students across the nation.

An LEA must spend at least 20% of its ARP ESSER funding to address learning loss. One effective way to address & fix this issue is through high-dosage tutoring (HDT).

Funds must be used by 9/30/2024.
