Tutoring Experience
I participated in a weekly program where we taught students in middle school special problems that involved math. This happened every Saturday for two hours. It was fun to teach the students and then allow them to break up into groups to solve a problem that led to an important math discovery! I also helped out in an after school program where we taught students and helped them with their homework at a public elementary school. I student taught in a second grade classroom. I was able to prepare phonics lessons as well as engaging lessons in mathematics. I have volunteered in a 4th grade and kindergarten classroom. I was able to give small group instruction, assess student progress, and teach the whole class. During my fall semester of 2020, I met with small group or individual students from the 7th grade to 9th grade. I taught multiple lessons in a mathematics class for junior highschool during my Fall semester 2022.
