About Me

I love speaking with others and am naturally extroverted, always excited to make new friends and take on a challenge—I never back down from one! I’m studying International Relations and hope to become a lawyer in the future. I love to tutor because I want to help others discover the same love of learning that I have and to empower students to use education as a tool to create a better future. My hobbies include reading sci-fi, fantasy, and thrillers, and I’m a huge Marvel fan, so you will probably catch me watching the Iron Man movies. I also love exploring new cafes and trying fun coffee or matcha drinks, and I enjoy shopping with friends!

Tutoring Experience

In high school, I consistently tutored students in history and English, helping them strengthen their understanding of the humanities (AP World, AP US, AP LIT, AP LANG) and achieve scores of 4s and 5s on their AP exams. I was also part of an IB/AP tutoring club, where I supported students taking the same or earlier-level courses. In college, I participated in Teach for America programs, tutoring middle school students in English and helping them improve their essay writing and overall communication skills. Across all these experiences, I’ve worked one-on-one and in classroom settings, tailoring my approach to meet each student’s learning style and goals.

Philanthropy / Volunteering Experience

I have a strong passion for philanthropy and community service, which I have pursued through leadership and hands-on work in high school and college. I taught beginner violinists at Orchestra Camp and La Paz Middle School, helping them learn music and perform in concerts. As Treasurer of MVHS UNICEF, Vice President of ASB, and Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator, I organized fundraisers, awareness events, and community service projects that supported children in crisis, foster care, and humanitarian causes. In college, as Philanthropy Chair for my sorority, I planned “Tender Fest,” a festival raising funds for survivors of domestic abuse. Across these experiences, I have developed skills in leadership, organization, and creating meaningful impact in my community.
