More About Me
I enjoy reading poetry, learning new schools of thought through philosophy, going to museums, and hanging out with my dog!
I love to tutor because I can connect with students that are struggling or exceeding their grade level and meet them where they need. I know that I can help them learn something they didn’t know yesterday and that in itself brings me joy.

Philanthropy / Volunteering Experience
My passion for philanthropy served as the catalyst to pursue my degree in Psychology and Social Behavior as well as becoming the VP of Philanthropy for my sorority. I discovered early on in high school that I wanted to work with something related to domestic and dating violence. I wanted to understand the psychology behind an abuser versus the survivor, the cycle of violence and its entirety. I was fortunate enough with the opportunity to learn more about domestic and dating violence through my sorority's philanthropic cause (the fight against domestic violence) and through serving as the Violence and Prevention Chair for UC Irvine's CARE Office. Continuing to follow my passion, I'm obtaining my graduate degree in Counseling for Marriage and Family Therapy in hopes to specialize in trauma work. My short term goals are to start a private practice that works specifically with DV in individual and family therapy. My long term goal is to start a non-profit organization that serves as a women and children's shelter that promotes healthy relationships through empowerment classes and mental health services.
