I love teaching because I love to help students find passion in my passion. I love science, and helping any student understand science to the point where they enjoy critical thinking is rewarding. I like to draw, play basketball, and play piano. In my free time, I do my hobbies, hang out with my friends, and eat good food.

I tutored elementary and middle school students English – how to write a story (plot), how to analyze a story, themes, point of views, specific grammatical elements like commas and conjunctions, spelling; Math – multiplication/division tables, how to add/subtract, fractions, ratios, percentages, algebra, negative numbers, geometry, and Science – intro to biology. Philanthropy / Volunteering Experience

  • Jeena (local non-profit): Taught kids with neurological disabilities acrylic painting.
  • S&J Tutoring Program Director Intern: Interviewed and recommended potential tutors, paired tutors and tutees, coached tutors in creating effective lesson plans, and provided Math and English lesson plan templates.
  • High School Psychology Club President: Fundraised over $250 for local nonprofits like the Korean Community Center of the East Bay, which provides free counseling to schools.
  • High School Book Club Vice President: Coordinated a school-wide book drive, donated 1000+ books to the East Bay Children’s project, and raised >$100 for earthquake-impacted Syrian students.
  • Age Well Senior Center South Fremont: Prepared meals and snacks for senior citizens and maintained a kitchen garden.
  • Tutorbridge: Tutored elementary and middle school students English – grammar and story writing, Math – Geometry and Algebra, and Biology.
