The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is an academic preparation organization aiming to expand postsecondary education opportunities to educationally disadvantaged students. Guiding students to become competitively eligible applicants for college admissions by working one-on-one and preparing college applications. I Facilitated presentations for both students and parents; work 10-15 hrs. per week at Dorsey High School in Los Angeles and lead individualized academic advising meetings. I participated in the Telpochcalli Internship which focuses on educating students to focus on catering to the needs of the Chicanx/Latinx students on campus in regards to academics. I lead workshops to support students academically by offering one-on-one academic tools and resources. Acting as a leader in UCLA's official student charity, UCLA UniCamp, which sends low-income children from the Greater Los Angeles area up to summer camp for a week at a reduced cost. I collaborated with a group of 3 other individuals to plan and lead a week of summer camp for 120 children that are designed to encourage campers to be confident in themselves, try things they wouldn't normally get the chance to do in the city and to ultimately aim for bright futures. Last school year, I commuted to Horace Mann Community School, where I assisted students with their homework, projects, and other academic needs. Focusing on writing, reading, and other English projects.
