I love to tutor because I believe there is nothing more fulfilling than the moments when you can boost someone’s learning confidence and help them discover the same love for learning that I have. Along with tutoring, I also love to crochet, create creative makeup looks, and write and read poetry.

Academic Accolades
In my time at UCSC, I received Dean’s Honors each year, leading me to graduate in my department with honors. In high school, I graduated with a 4.1 GPA, serving as president and vice president of social clubs such as GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) and Feminism Club. I succeeded in my senior year in increasing my SAT scores through self-mentored tutoring.
Tutoring Experience
I have been eager and passionate about teaching and learning since I was young. In high school, I spent time as a peer tutor. I currently work as an early literacy tutor online, with students from K-6 grades. I have grown up assisting my parents and family members in classrooms.
Philanthropy / Volunteering Experience
I have grown up volunteering in my parents’ first and fifth grade classrooms, helping with classroom setup and organization as well as aiding students. With my father, I have shopped to make regular, biweekly food donations to our local pantry. Growing up, I volunteered in local senior centers, spending time with full-time residents.
